Sen. Amy Klobuchar says she sees great potential for increased U.S. exports to Vietnam.
Klobuchar is part of a congressional delegation visiting Vietnam, China and Japan.
Speaking from Hanoi, the Minnesota Democrat says the group would like to break down any barriers to U.S. exports to Vietnam. She says there already has been a "huge increase" in exports to Vietnam, particularly poultry and beef.
Arizona Sen. John McCain, a former POW during the Vietnam War, is part of the delegation. Klobuchar says the Vietnamese "really appreciate how he was able to forgive and put that behind him."
While in China, Klobuchar says the group plans to raise objections to North Korea's recent rocket launch, which she calls "a clear act of defiance" of U.N. resolutions.
