Klobuchar features rosettes at open house

A crunchy, sugar-filled-touch of Starbuck, was featured during an open house to celebrate the inauguration of President-Elect Barack Obama on Monday.
The rosettes were among a variety of Minnesota treats featured at the open house hosted Minnesota's U.S. Senator, Amy Klobuchar, in Washington, D.C.
Some of the other Minnesota-made items featured on Monday included: Austin Spam puffs, Iron Range potica, and classic tater tot casserole.
According to a press release, the items were some of Klobuchar's favorite treats she tasted during her 87-county statewide tour last year. Klobuchar visited Starbuck last January to tour the facilities of SolarSkies when she had a Pastry Shoppe rosette for the first time.
However, this isn't the first time Klobuchar featured the rosettes in Washington, D.C. The Norwegian treat was also featured by Klobuchar during one of her constituent meetings last year.
In addition to being served in Washington, D.C., Pastry Shoppe rosettes were also featured in Figis Magazine for the first time in 2008.
The Pastry Shoppe is owned and operated by Larry Kittelson.
