Klobuchar: Farm Bill needs disaster relief and to focus more on renewable research (West Central Tribune)

The 2007 Farm Bill needs to include permanent disaster assistance for farmers and more investment in renewable energy, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., said Wednesday. Klobuchar made comments at a Senate Agriculture Committee hearing to discuss the proposed farm bill, which would reduce agriculture spending by $18 billion over the next five years.
