My office maintains a year-round internship program in both my Washington and my three District offices. While first consideration is given to students from the 2nd district of Michigan, any interested students are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:
Highly motivated, excellent writing skills, able to accomplish a variety of tasks, basic computer and office skills, knowledge of American government. Must be enrolled in college (high school seniors may be considered under special circumstances such as pursuing an internship for a grade) and part of an organized educational program.

Job Description:
Interns assist the staff in variety of ways, including: computer data entry, preparing correspondence for the legislative staff, answering constituent inquiries, conducting research, and helping with day-to-day office operations.

Application Process:
Students interested in an internship should fill out an application form and send the completed form to the office of interest.
