One of the most important things I do as a U.S. Representative is help people with federal problems. If you are having a problem with a federal government agency, and are unable to resolve it through normal channels, please contact my nearest district office for assistance.

Please know that our office cannot ask an agency to give you special consideration or ignore their regulations based on your contact with our office. Our role is to make sure that they fairly and efficiently follow the regulations they have promulgated based on laws passed by the Congress. If the regulation or law needs to be changed, please contact my Legislative Staff in Washington at 202-225-4401 with information they can use to effect that change.

During my time in the Congress, I have focused on increasing citizen participation in the federal legislature and reforming the way Congress does its work. To this end, my staff is committed to researching ways to improve government services and bring systemic problems with the bureaucracy to the attention of the appropriate Congressional Oversight Committees, so that the American public can receive better and more efficient service directly from the agency involved.

Below you will find a list of agencies that I can help you with. In order to assist you, my staff will need your written permission. The best way to accomplish this is for you to complete, sign and send a privacy authorization form. If you have a problem with the Internal Revenue Service, you will need to complete a special IRS Privacy Release Form. I have also provided a Privacy Release form in Spanish.
