A reaction to the Economic Recovery Conference we held this past Monday for nonprofit organizations serving the Fifteenth Congressional District.

Allen E. Roberts, principal for Clean Energy Systems New York:

"Congratulations to you and your staff for convening this important event to inform the Harlem community. The conference provided a unique opportunity to inform not-for-profit agencies and organizations of local, state, and federal opportunities for which the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (AARA) can provide support. Importantly, the speakers and workshops described the process required for accessing ARRA funds.

Please convey our appreciation to Congressman Rangel for his leadership of this initiative, and the positive impact it will have on job creation, worker training, infrastructure rebuilding, school construction and retrofitting, water conservation and air quality initiatives, healthcare, energy,  and the environment.

Special thanks to the Chairman and Korean War Veteran for his heartfelt comments and commitment to our nation's veterans and the 369th."
