Congressional Internships |
I
encourage college students interested in social work, government or politics to
apply for an internship in my Phoenix District Office. Intern positions are non-paid, school credit
earning opportunities through your school.
The District Office supports two (2) positions each school
semester. The district office is located
in the ASU Downtown
Center in Phoenix.
The
goal of the internship program is to provide students with a full range of
experiences and activities related to the operations of a district
congressional office. Following
orientation and training:
- Interns provide
in-office constituent services to meet the needs of the residents of Arizona 4th
Congressional District.
- Interns participate in
representational activity by attending district activities and events on behalf
of the Member.
- Interns attend local
federal agency congressional briefings.
- Interns participate in
weekly staff meetings.
- Interns may conduct
issue research relevant to the district and Congressman Pastor
- Interns may be
assigned special project work
[NOTE:
Internships are non paid and available for school credit only]
If
you are interested in this type of opportunity, please submit your application
to the Phoenix District Office.
