Middle East

With one of the most diverse constituencies in the nation, Congressman Dingell has been a leader on trying to bring reconciliation and cooperation to one of the world’s most intractable conflicts.  Congressman Dingell believes a two state solution is the only way to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East and is vital to ensuring Israel remains a strong Democracy.  He hailed President Obama’s appointment of Special Envoy George Mitchell as a step in the right direction toward reengaging the United States in this peace process and bringing the two parties together to restart negotiations.  The Congressman continues to support the Obama Administration’s active role in the peace process.
