Internships:

Congresswoman DeLauro's Washington and New Haven offices both sponsor an unpaid intern program. Interns are accepted any time of the year, although it is best if a student can work for a full semester or summer. A three-month period of time allows the student to truly experience life in a Congressional office. The application deadline for summer 2010 internships in the Washington office is Friday, April 2nd.

Internships are available year round and on a full-time or part-time basis. The program does not provide a wage or stipend. Housing and transportation are the responsibility of interns. Depending on availability, a brief phone interview may be necessary. While the office maintains a rolling deadline, please be advised that summer months fill particularly quickly and applicants should apply at their earliest convenience.

Thank you for your interest. We welcome your participation and look forward to receiving your application.
