Right now, thousands of new veterans are returning home from the Middle East to join over 24 million veterans in this country of wars dating back to WWI. We all owe them our gratitude and honor for putting themselves in the line of fire to defend our freedom. I believe that one of our top priorities must be to fulfill our commitments to our veterans, and I will continue to support and defend our veterans’ benefits and care in Congress.
Fifth District War Heroes Project
I have launched an effort in Western Iowa to make sure veterans of all wars in the Fifth District have their place in America’s history. I am hoping many Iowa veterans submit their personal stories to be archived by historians at the Library of Congress.
We must never forget those who have fought for and defended our freedom. Approximately 1,500 veterans are passing away every day, and we can’t lose the opportunity to record those experiences to preserve in history for future generations.
Submit your contact information on our form, and we will call you about further submitting your narratives, correspondence and visual materials for the Fifth District War Heroes Project.Need Help Recieving a Medal?
