Last Saturday I attended the unveiling of the first full scale exhibit for the Juan Bautista de Anza trail, located inside the Martinez Adobe at John Muir National Historic Site.

The new exhibit includes various perspectives that represent the diversity of people whose lives were altered by this significant journey, and was kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by live music and dance.

I am proud to have been a part of this milestone in the development of the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail and to join in a celebration of the history and heritage of our local community.
