Congressional Art Competition

2009 Winner Denyae Orey of

Wynnewood, OK

The Fourth District has a lot of talented young artists who deserve an opportunity to show off their artistic skills.

Each year, I am pleased to host a competition and select a piece of art and artist to represent the Fourth District in the Annual Congressional High School Art Competition and National Exhibition, "An Artistic Discovery."

Winning students have their artwork displayed in the Cannon Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. Additionally, I am able to host the winning student and a guest of their choice in D.C. for an art workshop in the city. Students are able to see their artwork on display in the Capitol for the first time.

Art Competition Guidelines and Information:

The competition is open to high school students only.
