Capitol Tours

Thank you for your interest in a tour of the United States Capitol, seat of our nation’s legislative branch. A new, state-of-the art Capitol Visitor’s Center has opened, and the process for reserving tours has changed. You can reserve your tour by clicking on the link below:

http://tours.visitthecapitol.gov/

After you click on the link, you should be able to search available dates and times to make the reservations that work best for your group. Please note that no backpacks or large bags are allowed in the Visitor’s Center.  No reservation is required to see the exhibits in the Visitor’s Center, but you will need a reservation to tour the inside of the Capitol Building itself.

Now that the Visitor Center is open, you do not have to come to the seventh district’s congressional office before your tour, but I’d be very happy if you do! The office is open during business hours Monday through Friday. If you have bags too big to take into the Capitol, you can use the office as a place to leave them during your tour. My staff can also supply you with Gallery passes, which will allow you access to the House and Senate Galleries through the Visitor’s Center.

If you have additional questions please contact Jacqueline Gosnell in my office at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  Please put Capitol Tour in the subject line.

The office is located in room 1035 of the Longworth House Office Building, on floor “G” – the building is just across the street to the south from the Capitol. Please let my staff know if you have questions or need assistance as you plan your visit, and they will be happy to help you. If you are having problems with the Visitor’s Center website, you can contact the office at (202) 225-3106 to work out a solution to the problem.

My best wishes for a safe and happy visit to Washington, DC.
