Washington State's Seventh District

The Seventh Congressional District of Washington is in the Northwest corner of the United States, nestled between mountains, forests, and waterways.

The Seventh District encompasses Seattle and Vashon Island and portions of Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Tukwila, SeaTac, and Burien.

Largely an urban District, the Seventh is home to information technology, aviation, architecture and recreational industries. It is particularly known for "green" technology, and other advanced technologies, diverse economic sectors such as agriculture, services, manufacturing and international trade, superior education and health care, and overall quality of life.

The largest city in the Seventh District, Seattle is the Northern-most major city on the West Coast of the United States.  It is situated on an isthmus between Puget Sound (an and Lake Washington, about 100 miles) south of the Canada – United States border, and is named after Chief Seattle, of the Duwamish and Suquamish tribes. Seattle was a logging town over a hundred years ago, but now is more famous as the home of Microsoft, Amazon.com, and Starbucks.
