Veterans Resources

It has been several years since the first major deployments of US military forces following the attacks on our country in September of 2001. Some men and women have been deployed several times to combat zones in Afghanistan and Iraq. To a degree unprecedented in recent history, they are members of our National Guard and Reserve Component who have served in combat situations unanticipated when they volunteered.

While all are marked by the experience of war, some veterans carry physical and psychological injuries, and some encounter employment or financial problems related to deployments.

Many have asked about public resources available to support their family members, friends, coworkers, and neighbors and to ease their transition from active duty to civilian life. For reference, the following Federal, State and King County agencies are partnering to assist veterans in our communities:
