DJOU STATEMENT ON START OF FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR

Honolulu, HI — Congressman Charles K. Djou (HI-01) issued the following statement marking the beginning of the new Federal fiscal year:

“Today marks the start of a new Federal fiscal year. Congress just closed one of the most fiscally irresponsible sessions in modern American history, spending an inordinate amount of money, running an unprecedented budget deficit—without turning the economy around.

“These problems have been compounded by the failure of the US House to pass a budget or even a single one of the 12 required appropriations bills for the first time in modern U.S. history. On November 2nd, the American people will have an opportunity to send a message to the majority in Congress that this irresponsible behavior must end.”
