On the Issues

Every vote in Washington makes an impact on the individuals of southern and eastern Kentucky. Keeping a pulse on the issues that affect you most is a priority of mine which is why I have outlined my position on several issues being debating at our nation’s capitol. Whether it is the rising cost of energy or finding a way to reform our health care system, I want to keep you informed so you know how certain decisions influence the region.

There is no doubt that our region has many challenges to overcome; but I have witnessed the strength and resolve of our communities first hand and I know that no matter what hurdle we may face, we will succeed. When I cast a vote in Washington, I do so with the knowledge of how this decision will make Appalachia a better place. While difficult times may lie ahead, I am optimistic that will find our way forward by finding solutions that bring more opportunities to our hard working families, students, young professionals and seniors.

By clicking on the issues in the blue box to the left of screen you will be able to see why I have taken a particular stand on that issue. As always, I welcome you to contact me by calling my officesending me an email or writing a letter so that I can correspond with you about the issues that matter most to you and your family.
