Daniel F. McFaul became the chief of staff and communications director for Congressman Jeff Miller on Oct. 16th 2001, when Miller was sworn into office. Prior to Miller’s election, McFaul served as Miller’s campaign manager during the 2001 special election cycle.
McFaul has been involved with more than 20 federal, state, and local campaigns in the last decade. He served as campaign manager to Congressman Joe Scarborough in 2000 and 1996. In 1998, he served as a senior field analyst for the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) and consulted on eight Congressional campaigns in the Southeast and Ohio River Valley.
McFaul served on the staff of U.S. Rep. Joe Scarborough of Florida from 1997-2001 as the legislative director. 1994-96, he was the director of marketing for First National Life Insurance Company based out of Montgomery, Al.
In 2004, McFaul was named one of the Pensacola News Journal's "40 Under 40" up-and-coming leaders. The ‘‘40 Under 40’’ program was established to identify the future leaders of Northwest Florida who are younger than 40 years of age.
A native of Pensacola, Fl., McFaul, graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fl., in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Relations. He later worked on a master's degree in Public Administration at the University of West Florida in Pensacola and the University of Maryland in College Park, Md., completing the degree in 1998.
McFaul lives in Pensacola and Washington, D.C. and is married to the former Jessica Morris. He currently serves as the Regional Vice President of the University of Florida Alumni association of Washington, DC and serves on the board of the Florida State Society. He enjoys hunting and fishing.
