111th Congress - 1st Session (2009)

$6,400,000 in the FY10 Consolidated Appropriations Act:

  • $800,000 for improvements to the Sequoyah Wildlife Refuge road
  • $500,000 for widening and other improvements to US-169
  • $2,000,000 for a National Weather Radar Testbed Phased Array Radar for the University of Oklahoma and the NOAA-ORF
  • $750,000 for law enforcement equipment for the Chickasaw and Choctaw Nations Law Enforcement
  • $900,000 for a statewide public safety communications system for the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety
  • $180,000 for law enforcement equipment for the Roland Police Department
  • $270,000 for an emergency response communications system for Southeastern Oklahoma State University
  • $450,000 for a wildlife management technician program for Oklahoma State University
  • $250,000 for facility improvements and equipment upgrades to the McCurtain Memorial Hospital
  • $300,000 for equipment upgrades for the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences

$17,563,000 in the FY10 Energy and Water Appropriations Act:

  • $6,173,000 for operations and maintenance projects on the McClellan-Kerr Navigation System for the U.S. Corps of Engineers Tulsa District Office
  • $6,625,000 for operations and maintenance projects on Tenkiller Lake for the U.S. Corps of Engineers Tulsa District Office
  • $1,800,000 for the Red River Basin Chloride Control project for the U.S. Corps of Engineers Tulsa District Office
  • $2,200,000 for Red River Emergency Bank Protection project for the U.S. Corps of Engineers Tulsa District Office
  • $250,000 for the Oklahoma Comprehensive Water Plan for the U.S. Corps of Engineers Tulsa District Office
  • $190,000 for the Grand Lake Comprehensive Study for the U.S. Corps of Engineers Tulsa District Office
  • $25,000 for the Red River Navigation Study for the U.S. Corps of Engineers Tulsa District Office
  • $300,000 for the Southeast Oklahoma Water Resource Study for the U.S. Corps of Engineers Tulsa District Office

$2,278,000 in the FY10 Agriculture Appropriations Act:

  • $177,000 for Oklahoma State University and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture to conduct research to develop and refine crop management techniques
  • $839,000 for Oklahoma State University, University of Oklahoma, and Mississippi State University and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture to conduct biomass-based energy research
  • $382,000 for Oklahoma State University and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture to conduct research on food safety from point-of-origin to consumption
  • $274,000 for Oklahoma State University and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture develop sustainable and ecologically sound animal waste management practices
  • $223,000 for Oklahoma State University and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture develop practices and technology to increase profitability of dual-purpose wheat enterprises
  • $209,000 for Oklahoma State University and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture to provide technology and engineering services to small, rural manufacturers
  • $174,000 for Oklahoma State University and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture for preservation and processing research
