Explore Senate Art

The art in the Senate wing of the U.S. Capitol and the Senate office buildings has been acquired principally for its public, patriotic, and commemorative characteristics. The Senate's art is intended to commit to posterity the persons and events of our national history, centered upon the institution of the Senate and the founding of the Republic.
