Education Reform Poll (July 2010) PDF Print

Knowing of your interest in education issues, I wanted to seek your input on what reforms are necessary as Congress works on the reauthorization of No Child Left Behind (NCLB) over the next few years. The Obama Administration released its blueprint for reauthorization earlier this year, and if you have not had the opportunity to review it, you can read it here. I was encouraged that Secretary Arne Duncan recently acknowledged that "[w]e are a very long way from the classroom in Washington and if we have learned one thing from NCLB it's that one-size-fits-all remedies generally don't work." Feel free to let me know your views about the proper federal role in education policy by participating in the poll below and by sharing your thoughts on how we can improve our educational system.
