U.S. Congressman Sam Johnson (3rd Dist.—Texas) will host a FREE workshop on recession proofing your finances on Saturday, May 8th at 9:00 a.m. in Plano. He will host the event in conjunction with the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Dallas (CCCS). The workshop is open to the public and the press.
“Unplanned emergencies like job-loss, illness, natural disaster or death can be overwhelming and financially taxing. Financial knowledge and a sound financial contingency plan are vital to ensuring that you and your family come out of a fiscal crisis in the black,” stated Johnson.
Fortunately, there are ways to plan for unexpected life changes. An expert from CCCS will be on hand to show people how. He will be available to provide general information on planning and saving as well as individualized advice on how to stretch a budget should a crisis arise.
