Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) today made the following statement after the House of Representatives voted to concur with Senate Amendments allowing for the extension of unemployment benefits for millions of Americans:
“Despite the optimism of some forecasters, our economy has not recovered for millions of Americans. Congress must act boldly to renew investment in America’s infrastructure and get Americans back to work. This action today will help ensure that Americans most at risk will be able to pay their bills and put food on the table.”
