Supporting Our Troops and Honoring Our Veterans

Every day we see the tremendous commitment and sacrifice made by the men and women of our Armed Forces. We could not possibly repay the debt we owe our troops for risking their lives for our security. But I believe we have an obligation to ensure they have the resources they need when they are serving, and the benefits they have earned once they come home.

Over the years I have strongly supported measures in Congress to support our troops and expand veteran’s benefits, which include historic funding levels for veterans health care, a dramatically expanded GI Bill, and providing advanced funding for veterans healthcare so that the care of our nation’s heroes is not left in doubt.
