Pine Tree Brook; a 4.7 mile, 12-foot wide waterway that discharges directly into the Neponset River, part of the Boston Harbor Watershed. Due years of neglect and lack of funding, the functional capacity of the brook has been adversely affected by sediment build-up, deteriorating channel walls, and vegetation growth. The funding would be used to continue the process of removing sediment and repairing failing channel walls, and removing nuisance vegetation.
