Green Opportunities - Job Training and Transitional Job Placement is a program to place young adults in the green job sector. It is a valuable use of federal tax dollars in that incarceration is extremely expensive, and a high percentage of those re-entering society end up back in prison, at great cost to the taxpayer. A program connecting re-entering young adults to legitimate employment in the growing green economy is an excellent investment of public resources.
