This program will develop measurement and analysis methodologies to quantify the effects of fatigue and dehydration on the cognitive performance of dismounted combatants/homeland defenders related to varied occupational conditions during their normal routines. Triggers such as distractions and persistent discomfort during the performance of routine tasks will be identified and their effects on cognitive performance will be carefully examined. Particular emphasis will be on the measurement of effects on mission critical decision making processes.
