The Northeastern University Center for Defense Sustainment will work with the Innovative Materials and Processing Team in the US Army Research Laboratory (ARL) to develop new materials and processes critical to the sustainment of DOD systems. In working with ARL, the Center will focus on several areas including novel manufacturing and repair technologies, advanced materials and alternative energy. The technologies to be exploited include application using cold spray, nanomaterials and nanomanufacturing, rate earth elements and ferromagnetic elements.
