The requested funds will permit AdMeTech Foundation (Boston, MA) and its partners (including researchers at Harvard Medical School and other institutions in MA and across the U.S.) to continue to discover and test novel imaging methods and technologies critical for early detection and treatment of prostate cancer. These technologies will make it possible to shift prostate cancer care from surgical theaters and hospital wards to ambulatory clinics, with minimal discomfort, complications and costs, which would directly benefit thousands of active duty military personnel and millions of veterans, and their families.
