Intelligence

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) provides policy guidance and sets classified funding levels for the agencies of the Intelligence Community funded by the National Intelligence Program and the Military Intelligence Program. Recently, the Intelligence Committee has held important hearings on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, U.S. Intelligence Operations against Al Qaeda, and Security Clearance Reform.

In addition to my position on the HPSCI, I was recently named the top Republican on the Terrorism and Unconventional Threats (TUTC) Subcommittee and Co-Chairman of the Special Operations Forces Caucus. These assignments provide me a unique opportunity to work at the nexus between intelligence and operations and I am humbled to have been given such trust by the American people.

Members of the Intelligence Community include the following agencies and organizations:

Central Intelligence Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency, Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, Department of State, Department of Treasury, Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, National Reconnaissance Office, National Security Agency, Office of Naval Intelligence, US Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance, US Army Intelligence and Security Command, US Coast Guard, US Marine Corps Intelligence Department
