U.S. Representative Ed Royce

Dear Friends,

I would like to invite you to two upcoming events I am hosting at the beginning of May.

My Congressional Art Exhibition will be held on Monday, May 3 from 5pm to 8pm at the Fullerton Museum Center.  The Exhibition will display dozens of pieces submitted for my 7th Annual Congressional Art Competition.  You will have an opportunity to recognize the impressive talents of high school students across the 40th district, including the 2010 Congressional Art Competition winner.  (Reminder: For those artists competing in this year's art competition all entries must be submitted to my district office in Orange by 5p.m. on Friday, April 30.)

Also, I am hosting my 2010 Combat Fraud Forum - Obtain information on identity theft, mortgage loans and lending, investment scams, charity fraud, and Medicare fraud on Friday, May 7 from 1pm to 3pm at the Cypress Community Center.  Representatives from the Federal Trade Commission, the Internal Revenue Service, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Federal Bureau of Investigation will be on hand to provide valuable information to combat fraud. The event is free of charge and open to the public.

I look forward to seeing you in the district.

Sincerely,

Representative Ed Royce

Royce Earns 2009 Taxpayers' Friend Award
Representatives from the National Taxpayers Union (NTU) stopped by to congratulate me on earning the 2009 Taxpayers' Friend Award. My score of 94%, for an "A" grade placed me 10th out of 430 Members of the House. "Taxpayer Scores" reflect a Member's commitment to reducing and controlling federal spending, taxes, debt and regulation.

Royce on Arizona's Immigration Law
On Friday, April 23 Arizona's Governor Jan Brewer signed into law a tough new immigration law.  I told the Orange County Register's blog Total Buzz that, "Arizona lawmakers have given their constituents what they want: immigration enforcement.  The federal government should follow suit."
