Kucinich Calls for Pedestrian and Bicycle Access to New Innerbelt Bridge

Kucinich 111th1

Cleveland, OH, Dec 7, 2009 -

Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) sent a letter Sunday to Ohio Governor Ted Strickland urging him to include a separate roadway for bikes and pedestrians on the new I-90 Innerbelt bridge in Cleveland.

“Up to 65% of people in some neighborhoods near the bridge do not have a car.  We must support transportation for all people in Northeast Ohio.  Biking and walking promotes health, eliminates greenhouse gas and many other kinds of pollution, saves money, and fosters stronger communities at little marginal cost,” said Kucinich.
