Congressman Dennis Kucinich (OH-10) and Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) will hold a joint news conference Monday, July 12 at 12:00 to discuss their actions and concerns regarding the suspension and termination of employees of the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS).
Yesterday, Kucinich and Fudge formally requested the United States Acting Comptroller General and the Inspector General of the Department of Defense to investigate labor practices at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). Specifically, they asked for an investigation into possible violations of fair labor practices and discrimination against DFAS’ African American employees.
A significant number of employees at the Cleveland DFAS location have been indefinitely suspended or terminated, despite long-term employment with the agency.
In the press conference, the Members will discuss their concerns regarding the suspension and termination of DFAS employees.
