Congressman Kucinich Announces Winners of 2009 10th Congressional District Art Contest

Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) today announced the winners of the 2009 10th Congressional District Art Contest.
The Congressional art contest is sponsored by Members of Congress throughout the country annually for public and private high school students. The winning entry will be sent to Washington D.C., where it will be on display in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year.
The grand prize winner is Ms. Jen Farkas of Lakewood High School. Ms. Farkas, a parent and her art teacher will receive round-trip tickets to Washington, D.C. to attend the ribbon cutting festivities on Wednesday, June 24. Ms. Farkas’ art teacher at Lakewood High School is Ms. Amy Sedlak.

Art works will be on display in the J.C. Penney North Court of Parmatown Mall March 23 through April 3. The Awards Presentation will be Friday, March 27 at 4:00PM. All students, family, teachers, school officials and community leaders are invited.
