COSTELLO ANNOUNCES DOT GRANT FOR MADISON COUNTY TRANSIT DISTRICT
WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Madison County Transit District has received a $4,000,000 State of Good Repair Program grant through the Federal Transit Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation. The funds will be used for vehicle replacement in the transit district.
“Transportation options for people are essential to a strong economy,” said Costello, a senior member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. “I will continue to work to ensure there are adequate resources for these programs.”
