WASHINGTON - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Coulterville Fire Protection District has received a $65,324 grant through the Assistance to Firefighters program of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The funds are allocated for operations and safety. Costello cosponsored the legislation that created the Assistance to Firefighters program.
“This award will enhance fire protection services and safety in the area,” said Costello. “Our first responders put their lives on the line every day, and their dedication deserves our full support.”
