COSTELLO RECEIVES PRIDE 2010 OUTSTANDING CITIZEN AWARD
Godfrey, IL - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) was presented with an award by Pride, Inc. at their 44th Annual Dinner, held at the Commons at Lewis and Clark Community College, on Friday, March 12, 2010. Pride, Inc. presented Costello with their 2010 Outstanding Citizen Award. They also presented awards to select organizations and businesses that have made contributions to the community during the past year.
Pat Morrissey, Pride, Inc. President, notes that, “The Outstanding Citizen Award is presented each year to an individual who has performed outstanding acts of community service which have improved the quality of life in our communities.”
“I was deeply honored to receive the Pride 2010 Outstanding Citizen Award,” said Costello. “Pride has done great work in promoting the Alton and riverbend area. I am grateful for their assistance and collaboration in the past and I look forward to working closely with them for the benefit of our region in the future.”
