WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Southern Illinois University Carbondale has been awarded a $363,750 grant from the National Institutes of Health of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The funds will be used for a research project, directed by James Arthur MacLean, titled “Regulation and Function of the Rhox8 Homeobox Gene in Granulosa Cells.”
“Federally funded research results in many positive developments for society, and SIUC continues to distinguish itself by the quality of its academic contributions,” said Costello. “I will continue to support these efforts.”
