COSTELLO ANNOUNCES TRANSPORTATION GRANT FOR SEIBERT ROAD IMPROVEMENTS AT SCOTT AFB
Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that St. Clair County has received a $950,000 Public Lands Highway grant through the U.S. Department of Transportation. The funding will be used to reconstruct two sections of Seibert Road totaling a half mile, which will complete the project. Costello has actively pursued funding for this work.
“This project is one of my priorities for making improvements at and around Scott,” said Costello, a senior member on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. “This work will increase efficiency and improve quality of life at the base, and I will continue to work with the Air Force and local officials to identify and meet these needs.”
