WASHINGTON – Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that John A. Logan College has received a $282,364 grant through the Student Support Services Program of the U.S. Department of Education. These funds will help provide academic and other support services to low-income, first-generation or disabled college students to increase students’ retention and graduation rates, facilitate their transfer from two-year to four-year colleges, and foster an institutional climate supportive of the success of these students.
“Education is the key to success, especially in the economy of the 21st Century,” said Costello. “I will continue to support efforts to make a quality education more attainable.”
