Service Academies

Young people of Middle Tennessee are encouraged to apply for this high honor if they are physically fit, highly motivated, have high academic standards, leadership potential and a desire to serve their country.
If you are a student who is between the ages of 17 and 23, and you are interested in attending one of our nation's five military academies, you will need to fill out an application form (to fill out the application, click here).
In addition to the application form, each potential nominee is required to submit three letters of recommendation, a high school transcript of courses, and SAT/ACT scores. All application and supporting materials must be received in my Murfreesboro office by December 1st.
It is recommended that applicants also notify the academy in which they are interested so that a pre-candidate questionnaire can be completed to allow a preliminary evaluation by the academy.
