Dreier Statement on Retirement Announcement by Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman David Dreier (R-San Dimas, CA), Rules Committee Ranking Republican, issued the following statement today regarding Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart’s (R-FL) announcement that he will retire at the end of his current term:
"Lincoln has been an outstanding member of Congress and the Rules Committee and he will be greatly missed after his retirement. Throughout his time in the House, he has been an eloquent, fierce, and passionate voice for freedom. His unique perspective and debating skills have won him admiration and respect on both sides of the aisle. He has also been a leader on homeland security issues and a strong advocate for fiscal responsibility. I look forward to serving another year with my good friend and colleague before he returns to the community he has dedicated his career to serving."
