Cummings Hosts "How to Pay for College" Seminar
14th Annual Seminar includes financial aid panel, meetings with colleges, universities and scholarship organizations.

(Washington, DC) – On Monday, November 15, Congressman Elijah E. Cummings will host his 14th Annual “How to Pay for College” Seminar in Baltimore.

The "How to Pay for College" Seminar is a free event designed to inform constituents about higher education opportunities and financial assistance programs to help them attain the American Dream of a college education. 

The seminar includes a financial aid panel which informs students and parents about federal financial aid programs, Maryland scholarship programs, researching private scholarship opportunities, the college admissions process, community college programs and college assessment test preparation.  In addition, the seminar allows students and parents to meet with representatives from colleges, universities and scholarship organizations.

“The affordability of a college education is one of the primary concerns of many families,” Congressman Cummings said.  “I offer these seminars each year to make sure parents and students are aware of the many financial aid options available to them.”
