HARMAN NAMES NEW DISTRICT DIRECTOR

Washington, D.C. Congresswoman Jane Harman (D-Venice) has named Vanessa Aramayo as her new District Director.  Over the past year, Aramayo served as a Senior Field Deputy for Harman, covering the Los Angeles Harbor area and South Bay communities while working on a variety of issues such as immigration, education, women, labor, the Port of Los Angeles, and Homeland Security. Aramayo will now oversee all constituent relations in the district, directly manage the Harman field operation, and continue to serve as a representative for the Congresswoman.

“The job of District Director is one of the most important in my congressional office, and I am pleased once again to select someone who is fluent in Spanish” said Harman. “Over the past year Vanessa has distinguished herself as someone with outstanding people skills, keen instincts for the issues that matter to my constituents, and for tackling every assignment with energy and enthusiasm. I am delighted to welcome her to her new positions and I know the community will, too.”

Prior to joining Harman’s office, Aramayo worked as a Field Representative for State House Majority Leader Dario Frommer. She is a 2001 graduate of UCLA.
