Scalise Announces Washington Parish VA Clinic to Open Feb. 1

Jefferson -- Congressman Steve Scalise today announced the Washington Parish VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic will open on February 1, in Bogalusa.
 
            "The new VA clinic in Bogalusa will be a convenient way for our veterans in Washington Parish to receive first-class healthcare at a new facility much closer to their homes," Scalise said. "Veterans should not have to drive for hours just to get basic care. We worked with the VA for months to make sure this Bogalusa clinic opened as soon as possible. I applaud the VA for recognizing the importance of opening a new clinic for our veterans in Washington Parish"

            Congressman Scalise has maintained close contact with the VA and has consistently urged them to make sure this clinic opens in Washington Parish is a timely matter. Scalise is committed to making sure the VA fulfills its obligations to our nation's military veterans. The clinic will bring more than 90 percent of veteran patients to within 30 minutes of their primary care services.
