Washington, DC — House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Chairman Steve Buyer (R-Ind.) today issued the following statement in connection with a call by Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) for the resignation of Secretary of Veterans Affairs R. James Nicholson.

Washington, D.C. — Steve Buyer (R-Ind.), chairman of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, made the following statement in connection with the August 4 arrests of two Maryland men believed to have stolen the computer and hard drive that contained personal data belonging to as many as 26.5 million veterans, as well as servicemembers and family members.

Washington, D.C. – House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Chairman Steve Buyer (R-Ind.) today expressed his appreciation to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for coordinating efforts to ensure that service-disabled veteran-owned businesses have an opportunity to bid on the upcoming NASA Scientific and Engineering Workstation Procurement (SEWP)-IV contract.
