Washington, D.C.—This morning the House Republican Conference ratified the Steering Committee’s selection of Congressman Steve Buyer (IN-04) as the Chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee. Buyer, a decorated Gulf War veteran, currently serves with the rank of Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, has been a member of the Committee for twelve years, since he was first elected to Congress. Most recently, he has chaired the Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.
