Internships
Congressman Boozman’s office is always accepting resumes from college students interested in interning for academic credit at his Lowell, Fort Smith, Harrison and Washington D.C. offices.

By assisting the Congressman’s district staff, interns have the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about how a Congressional office provides constituent services, interacts with the community and serves as a liaison to Congressman Boozman’s Washington, D.C. office.

Interns in the Washington, D.C. office will have an opportunity to learn about the legislative process and the federal government by working closely with the legislative, communications and constituent services staff members.

All internships in Congressman Boozman’s office are unpaid and candidates who are chosen for the Washington, D.C. office may be responsible for paying their travel and living expenses. However, interns in any office can arrange to receive academic credit for their work.

Congressman Boozman’s internship program is open to all area college students, regardless of major.

Interested candidates should contact Catherine McKinney in Washington D.C. at (202) 225-4301, or Stacey Mattingly in Lowell at (479) 725-0400.

Internships are available for one of two summer sessions in the Washington D.C. office: June 1 -July 2, 2010 and July 5 - August 6, 2010.
Applicants interested in interning in the Washington D.C. office needed to turn in and complete the application by April 9, 2010.
