Growing Our Economy

Much of our state’s economic strength is built on the back of small business. Nearly 80 percent of North Dakotans are employed by companies with fewer than 500 employees and nearly 60 percent work for companies with fewer than 100 employees.

That is why I have supported legislation designed to incentivize small business activity through a combination of tax cuts, tax deductions, and expanded government loan guarantees through the Small Business Administration. I am committed to working in Congress in my position on the Ways and Means Committee to help reinvigorate small business during these tough economic times and put into place common-sense policies that drive small business growth into overall economic growth.
