Internships
Thanks to Senator Quentin Burdick, I worked in Washington, D.C. the summer after graduating from college. It was a terrific way to see first-hand how government works. Years later, as North Dakota's only member of the House of Representatives, I am delighted to offer similar opportunities for young people. For students who are interested in the challenging work of serving constituents and learning more about the federal government my congressional offices offer exciting year-round opportunities. Internships are available in my Washington, D.C. office.

This program provides individuals an opportunity for up-close experiences with the daily operations of a congressional office. The activities in an office may include researching current topics discussed by Congress, responding to constituent requests, and interacting with other congressional offices. It is a fast-paced environment with the potential for offering a variety of duties.
